On which devices can I use the Trainer App?

The EGYM Trainer App is currently only available for iOS. Use on an Android device or device with other operating systems is therefore not possible.

We will end support for the EGYM Trainer App on all iOS devices with software version iOS12 and lower as of October 2022. 

What does that mean specifically for me?
The EGYM Trainer App can still be used on an iPad with iOS 12. However, this version will no longer be supported by us in the future. This means that the EGYM Trainer app on iOS 12 devices will not receive any security or function updates in the future. We therefore recommend that you update the iOS version of your iPad to the latest version (currently: iOS 15) so that you continue to get the best user experience of the EGYM Trainer App.

Where can I see which iOS version my iPad has?
To determine your currently installed iOS software version, navigate to Settings > General on your iPad and tap About.
What will be the future minimum requirements for the EGYM Trainer App for iOS devices?
iOS 13 and newer.

What should I do if my Apple device cannot be updated to iOS 13 or higher?
You currently have the following options:

  1. You can still use the trainer app on an iOS device with iOS 12. Note, however, that:
    • Newly developed features will not be supported on the Trainer app with iOS 12.
    • We will not install any new security updates for the iOS 12 version in the future.
  2. If your Apple hardware is no longer able to update beyond the iOS 12 version, we recommend that you purchase new hardware. Please note that your new Apple hardware must support at least the software version iOS 13 or higher. You can find a list of all compatible iPad models for iOS 13 and newer here.
  3. If you don't have an iPad with iOS version 13 or higher, you can now also use the trainer app on the iPhone. Please note, however, that the minimum requirement for the iPhone software version must be iOS 13 and higher. You can log in to the EGYM Trainer App for the iPhone with the same account data as on your iPad.
